THE BRAZILIAN WOMAN BEAUTY PAGEANT
MISS BRASIL USA PAGEANT REGULATION
A. REGISTRATION
1. (ONLY) Brazilian residents in the United States, being daughters of Brazilian parents (one or both of them), and over 15 years of age may participate in the Miss Brasil USA event. Those under 18 years of age may only enroll in the contest with the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. Brazilian applicants residing in the United States must register with a regional stage of the competition, and then disputing the classification for the final national of Miss Brasil USA.
3. Brazilian applicants residing in the United States may only enroll in the Miss Brasil USA through a producer, active in the United States. This agent should buy a franchise of the Miss Brasil USA to acquire the right to bring his/her candidate who lives in the United States. Such candidate shall be qualified for the finals only after a selection process of competition elaborated by the coordinators of the event.
4. Registration for all candidates should be entered by the website of the Miss Brasil-USA ( HYPERLINK "http://www.missbrasilusa.com" www.missbrasilusa.com) or directly with regional producers. All candidates are required to complete and sign the registration form for the Miss Brasil-USA (The form for candidates under 18 must be signed by the guardian), the contest rules and must pay the registration fee in the amount fixed by the local producer. The general coordination suggests that the fee should not exceed the amount of $ 200.00, which amount will be charged from the applicants who register through the website. However, each producer may adjust the fee to the economic reality of their city. In the case of candidates who register through the website, payment must be made by check payable to Miss Brasil USA and sent to the address listed on the official site.
B. PARTICIPATION IN FINAL OF MISS BRASIL USA
5. Will qualify for the final of Miss Brasil-USA the candidates who have qualified in 1st, 2nd, 3rd AND/OR 4th place in the regional stages and in the case of those residing in the United States, the ones who are approved by the selective process performed by the coordination of the event. It will depend on the directors of Miss Brasil USA to determine the number of how many candidates from each region will participate in the final, being understood that the maximum of four candidates from each local contest will attend the final step.
6. Each candidate will be responsible for presenting on the date and time set for the coordination of Miss Brasil USA at the hotel designated in order to integrate to the work team for the final stage of the competition, taking the items previously required with her.
7. The transfer of the candidates to the city where the final of Miss Brasil-USA will take place is the responsibility of regional coordinators. The transfer of the candidates residing anywhere in the United States should also be funded by local producer that entered her to the contest.
8. The national coordination of Miss Brasil USA is responsible for transportation, lodging and meals for all candidates in the host city of the final competition during the four days of the event.
9. The national coordination of the Miss Brasil-USA shall not be responsible for any extra expenditure during the stay of the finalists in the host city of the national phase of the competition. It is understood by "extra expenditures", the use of telephones, laundry, room service, personal ornaments, among others. Re-emphasizing, the costs covered by the Miss Brasil-USA are: transportation to the venue of the event, accommodation and meals. All other expenses are the sole responsibility of each and individual candidate.
10. The general director of Miss Brasil-USA will provide all candidates the swimsuit or bikini and official shirt of the event and all the costumes of the special shows in the finals, in case involving their participation.
11. Each candidate is responsible for: 1) evening dress for the final parade, 2) evening dress for the Gala of Miss Brasil-USA (color and pattern chosen by the candidate herself), 3) other garments that will be used during the four days of stay in the host city of the end of the competition, 4) black scarpin shoe and personal accessories.
12. All participants qualified for the final, shall pay, in addition to the registration fee, another fee of $300.00, the "Liability", when they show up at the hotel where they will stay during the four day event competition. This fee corresponds to a kit with bikini, swimsuit, sandals, shirt, sash and various other gifts. Without the fee payment the check in into the hotel will not be allowed.
C. CRITERIA FOR THE MISS BRASIL-USA FINAL STAGE JUDGMENT
13. The criteria for judging the Miss Brasil-USA are:
> Harmonious esthetics in the parade in swimsuit
> Elegance and poise in the parade in evening dress
> Resourcefulness on the concourse during the whole participation in the final event, aiming at a career as a professional model
> Smoothness in contact with the press and during the "interview" test.
14. The national coordination of Miss Brasil-USA makes sure that the final jury will not be by people with family connection or employment with any of the competitors.
D. ELIMINATION AND EVALUATION OF CANDIDATES
15. The national coordination of Miss Brasil-USA will ELIMINATE any competitor, who, in the opinion of the directors, tarnishes the image of the event or the name of Brasil, or the United States or any national symbol of both countries.
16. The discipline and conduct of candidates during the four days of events in the final of the competition could influence the final result. The production that will accompany the candidates is responsible for evaluating each competitor. They shall lose points if:
- arrive late for appointments and tests of the contest
- bring family to the backstage at the final day
- bring unauthorized persons (beauticians, hair stylists, among others, to the dressing rooms.
- Do not pay Liability at the hotel check-in
- request room service and put in the production account, knowing that this is strictly prohibited
- not following the group of candidates on the return to the hotel
- using cell phones, chewing gum and smoking cigarettes during rehearsals and choreography
Those who do not meet the regulation shall lose points and depending on the sum of this score may be DISQUALIFIED.
E. SIGNING OF CONTRACTS
17. All competitors in the Miss Brasil-USA of all the regional steps expressly authorize the use of photos, videos, recorded testimony and any other material recorded by the event for promotional use at any time.
18. If the participants of the Miss Brasil-USA sign contracts with professional model agencies or advertising, Miss Brasil-USA is entitled to receive 30% of the contract for five (5) years, beginning from the date on which the candidate participated in the contest.
19. IT IS MANDATORY that the winner of the Miss Brasil-USA attend at least four cultural events planned by the direction of the contest during the year in which the title of Miss is in force. If the winner resides in the United States, the costs that she will have to travel to the places of events, including ticket, food and lodging will be covered by the Miss Brasil USA. The Miss is also required to use the sash that she receives in the final of the competition during the events. If she, by reason of force majeure, can not attend any of the events, the First Princess is the one who should represent her.
20. Miss Brasil USA holds the responsibility of participation in at least four cultural events organized by the Brazilian community in the United States. It is also MANDATORY however that all the expense of coming shall be funded by local producer who brought her to the event.
21. EPOCA ENTERPRISE owns all rights of the arena of Miss Brasil-USA event. Photos and video materials of the candidates will be used exclusively to promote the event and sponsors. Photos and videos will not be returned, being incorporated into the archives of the contest.
22. All reproduction rights for TV, DVD, VHS and any form of audio/video are copyrighted and are exclusive of Miss Brasil-USA. Violators of copyrights will be prosecuted according to the laws. Miss Brasil-USA is a trademark of Epoca Enterprise. The event is affiliated to the International Beauty Pageant Bureau # 377-92 19
F. CONCLUSION
23. The commitments of the national coordination of Miss Brasil-USA begin with the presentation of the candidates in particular hotel and terminates upon the departure of the candidates back to their home towns, which will occur within 24 hours after the end of the competition. All candidates must read and sign the Liability concerning to her participation in the event. No candidate may be brought at the hotel of the event without signing the Liability previously and paying the fee of $300.00.
24. Participation rules and judging regional competitions are determined by local producers. Miss Brasil-USA can not be in charge for any problem that may occur in regional competitions. However, the national coordination will attempt to send an official representative at all stages of the regional event to follow up the process of voting and counting.
25. Producers who bring representatives from other countries besides the United States will not participate in the Miss Brasil USA.
